Boy has it been a hot July. And when the heat and humidity rises, my beauty routine becomes ever the more streamlined.
And I also bring in some of my summer favourites that are as efficient and/or multitasking as they are enjoyable to use - so read more for this year's summer beauty edit!

Honestly, there are so many days I go without really any skincare at all in this kind of weather. Perhaps not the best thing to admit but in the spirit of candidness ;) On the days that I do bother to treat my face, hydration and simplicity are essentially all I look for >>
Caudalie's Vinosource range is just gorgeous. The SOS serum has the same gorgeously light texture as the Vineactiv serum I've repurchased a number of times, and the Moisturising Sorbet (only a hair over £20 might I add, which is incredibly good value) keeps my skin feeling and looking plump - it's so light and hydrating, just perfect for summer.
Cult Beauty recently sent over some Disciple skincare and I've fallen in love with the brand. Their Balancing Mist (last mentioned in my current skincare routine) in particular is a beautifully clean, simple formula - only three ingredients - and is the perfect size to throw into your bag for on-the-go hydration. Really affordable too.
The Venn Skincare All-in-one Concentrate is a product I'm really excited about. It's a single-step powerhouse of great ingredients, which you can use morning and night, cutting your routine to just a couple of products by the time you've cleansed - a godsend for me right now. With the look of a moisturiser and the feel of a lovely, silky serum, it might just be Korea's latest skincare secret (I've been using this almost 2 weeks now so I'll update you as time goes on!).

M A K E U P
My cheeks are getting all the attention this summer.
My Bobbi Brown blush in Pale Pink has been (almost exclusively) all I've been wearing on my cheeks for the last few months. I've really pushed the boat out and have invested in a slightly different shade ;) Nude Pink is a little lighter, and gives my cheeks a lovely, subtle glow - another beautiful addition to my growing collection.
Another beautiful, natural cheek product is Charlotte Tilbury's Glowing Kit (UK | US)- the highlighter-y shade in Pretty Fresh gives this gorgeous, rosy-peach glow with a sheen more than a shimmer - I love it.
Summer is the only time I dare wear bronzer as I don't think it suits my fair, wintery skin in the slightest. Bobbi's Shimmer Brick (UK | US) will never see you wrong - the individual strips of colour work beautifully as eyeshadow too for a multi-tasking product for vacationing.
As far as the rest of my face goes, there are two staples that immediately come to mind. Dermalogica sent over their Skinperfect Primer, and I'm thoroughly excited about it. It has a balmy, pore-refining texture akin to Benefit's Porefessional but also includes an SPF 30 (again, the fewer products I have to mess with, the better). In the eyeliner department, I've gone from favouring a black wing, to no liner, to a brown non-wing, the latter of which I'm sticking with (for now). Charlotte Tilbury's Barbarella Brown (UK | US) is perfect. Dark and rich in colour, it stays put all day on my notoriously difficult eye shape, I couldn't recommend it enough.

I must say that Estee Lauder's yearly Bronze Goddess offerings are always a reliably lustworthy release. Their Heatwave highlighters are wildly coveted, but it's the BG fragrance that I've been reaching for this summer. There's a 'warm sand', 'Sorrento summer nights' feel to the scent (more accurately described as bergamot, amber, tiare flower and vanilla..) which lingers in the background throughout the day.
I last mentioned the Living Proof Humidity spray in my haircare routine and I'm reaching for it even more in the latest spate of humid weather. For me, no other anti-frizz product works better. I spray liberally throughout my hair in sections (it doesn't weigh it down or make it crunchy) to try and tame my incredibly frizzy flyaways.
Eye masks are a great option to block out unwelcome light, especially if you're a really light sleeper (I'd like to sleep past sunrise thank you..) and what better than the Slip Silk Sleep Mask (UK | US) (currently 15% off if you're in the UK!). One of the silkiest, softest things I've felt and such beautiful quality - great for your skin too.
Anddddd, I'm going to round things up there. I'd love to know what your summer beauty favourites are!
xx
