THE LOWDOWN

This single step gel cleanser effectively removes oil, sunscreen, makeup, dirt and impurities whilst, most importantly, retaining and protecting the skin's acid mantle. Free from harsh detergents such as SLS, or alcohol, and instead packed with botanical extracts, including Saccharomyces Ferment, this cleanser is gentle and protective enough to use twice daily, and especially good for dehydrated, sensitive and acne-prone skin types. The slick, gel texture lubricates the skin effectively, preventing tugging, unwanted friction or irritation during use.

HOW TO USE

Squeeze out around a 5 pence piece splodge and massage (with dry fingertips) into dry skin for a few minutes, to lift and emulsify all your facial nasties. Rinse. Despite the name, use either morning, night or both.

Alternatively, you can use this as a foaming cleanser by mixing in a splash of water.

MY TIPS

I don't personally like to use this on my eyes as mine are sensitive and it can sting. If you wear waterproof mascara like me, I'd recommend massaging a little carrier oil (jojoba or EVOO) into your eyes to loosen the eye makeup first, then massage the gel into your face before rinsing everything away. Whilst it's claimed to be a single-cleanse product, in the evenings I like to use it dry for my first cleanse, then foaming for my second, which really makes my face feel exquisite.
