Shoes shoes shoes.
They've always had a little soft spot in my heart because as my weight both plummeted and surged, shoes were about the only thing that didn't change size. And in that way, I didn't feel left out or any worse about myself.
Now that the weather's warming up and heaven forbid we are in May already, all of my Spring and Summer shoes are being dug up ready for wear again. So, here are four of my favourite styles I revisit year after year.
The Espadrille
1. Blue espadrilles // 2. Embroidered espadrilles // 3. Pink espadrilles // 4. Off white espadrilles
When it comes to summer shoes, I jump on the bandwagon along with everyone else and sport espadrilles. Castaner and Soludos are my favourites. A) they're entirely comfortable, especially for a heel, and look great with both a wide leg trouser and skirts/dresses. One in every colour please!
A Statement Shoe
6. Bubblegum pink bows // 7. Scarf floral bow heels // 8. Ikat multicolour mules // 9. Floral tie heels
// 10. Blush floral mules
I've become a little more experimental with shoes - with print and colour and all that. I'm sure it's known by now that I like very simple outfits, and a 'statement' shoe is the perfect accessory for the most simple of outfits. Especially in Spring and Summer because I love the colour palettes. A white dress and some floral heels - perfect.
Flats, Sandals & Sliders
// 15. Straw sliders
Ultimately, you'll find me wearing flats. Because I'm a comfort lover. But that need not mean style takes a back seat! I'm forever fond of classic ballet flats and there are none better than these. I stumbled upon this woven pair recently too and loveee them (they come in both a wide and standard width).
Mid-heels (with bows!)
// 20. Classic cognac heels
If it's not flats, you'll probably find me in a block mid-heel. Again, comfort. And Spring/Summer is the perfect time for some open toed block heels. This red pair are going to look gorgeous with some white and navy attire, and I've fallen in love with this rich cognac pair - so classic.
Let me know - What's your favourite shoe of the 20, and what will you be sporting on your feet this Spring/Summer?
