Sort of Part Three really as I've already shared what I wore on my birthday over in this recent post.. But nevertheless! Read on for the next installment in our Parisian trip :)

We were 'rising and shining' relatively early this morning because I wanted to catch a view of/show F the Eiffel Tower at Trocadero before the hoards of tourists poured in.

Navy dress (bought in Korea but similar here)

Ballet shoes (L.K Bennett but sold out! These are nigh on identical).

There seem to be a lot of these suede jacket-y-type-things around at the moment and that's completely OK with me - they're desperately soft and smooth (F was petting my arm a lot) and a lovely way to keep somewhat warm if you're looking for a blazer-jumper hybrid. Zara have an olive green one that I've my eye on!

After a reasonably stressful journey on the Metro (stations closed, wrong lines, that kind of thing) we turned the corner onto Trocadero to see the morning sun pouring over the stone floor. You'll likely have heard stories of turning up before sunrise to get space for a good shot etcetc but after our little detours, it was more like 9:30-10 before we arrived and plenty of space for everyone to get a decent capture!

We took a wander down to the base of the tower and along the Seine, before roundabout-ly reaching Le Meurice, and more specifically the teeny store front tucked away around the corner from Le Meurice, La Patisserie du Meurice par Cedric Grolet. Famous for his sculpted fruits, and once only available in the Meurice restaurants, the opening of Paris' hottest pastry chef's patisserie means you can sample his fare to take away - and excited we were to do so!

After queuing outside before opening time and only being allowed into the store in fours or something silly like that, we picked two of the four available patisseries on offer - 'Citron Noir' and 'Pomme', and went and sat in one of my favourite places in Paris, the Jardin des Tuileries, to eat them. Really richly flavoured, fruity interiors, encased in mousse and desperately thin chocolate - we've since watched a video on how they're allegedly made and the work that goes into the things. I doubt you need me to tell you that they were, unsurprisingly, delicious.

A further wander around the garden (I really do love this place, especially in autumn when the trees' leaves start turning warm golds and oranges), we meandered on to Le Palais Royal and the Louvre. For F's first time in Paris, all places surely not to be missed!

With somewhat slightly sore feet (isn't the Louvre just vast? I've been many a time now and I'm sure I've not even collectively made it round the entire place yet), we headed over to Montmartre for dinner at Pink Mamma.

It's a very pretty interior, and great for a spot of Instagramming, but I'll be honest with you, the food, I could take or leave.

We did manage to get a lovely view of the river at sunset though. And I picked up some more patisseries after dinner. So all in all a great day ;)
