GINGHAM.

There have been a few fashion trends/styles that were rife in my childhood wardrobe of the 90's, and after a very long hiatus, have come full circle.

Denim jackets and heavy embroidery are but a couple of examples.

Anddd.. gingham.

Whilst my 90's gingham days of pink school pinafores and summer dresses are gone, I've been loving restocking my wardrobe with more up to date pieces. Mainly in blues as it seems like my entire wardrobe can be found on the spectrum from white to navy at the minute - not that I mind in the slightest ;)

I've already picked up this gingham wrap blouse (currently 50% off!), and I've got my eye on a few more pieces like this gorgeous, ruffled skirt (the shape is just like the one I recently wore to Englefield and really appeals to me) and this adorable bow headband.

Anything you fancy? Or is it just me with the propensity for gingham at the moment?!

We're having an incredibly hot spell in the South East at the moment, which can only call for natural fabrics for me. There's nothing worse in summer than a clingy polyester-mix that brings on a kind of menopause-like hot flush every 5 minutes, so this ensemble of 100% cotton (incredibly floaty and oversized) ruffle top and linen-mix tapered trousers is perfect for keeping cool.

Paired with my Birkenstocks to add an extra level of comfort ;)
