Korean Skincare Favourites

Having a Korean mother, I've been fortunate enough to sit at her knee and be exposed to the brilliance of Asian beauty products from a young age. Years later and I am certainly no less of a fan!

(If you need help sourcing Asian/Korean beauty products, check out this post for some help!)

I love these kinds of posts where I've got free rein to rave so here are a handful of my favourites.

This duo of green tea goodies are a formidable pair. If you check out the ingredients, green tea is listed first in both so they pack a huge antioxidant punch to protect your skin from free radicals, pollutants and other nasties. I use the silky serum in the mornings to protect my face and top up with the spray on mist throughout the day. They're both must-haves as individuals but make for a sensational pairing.

Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum: Available here for the US and here for anywhere else.

Innisfree Green Tea Mineral Mist: Available here for the US and here for anywhere else.

This glorified toner is a wonder product. It's thicker consistency, packed full of active ingredients, refines your skin's texture and leaves it feeling smoother, plumper and clear. I use this one to calm any breakouts and, most effectively, to get skin smoother than a baby's bottom.

I get mine here, I recommend the retailer!

Asian serums (often called essences) are top notch and this one from the lesser known brand Skin79 is no different. Don't be put off by the marketing, it's by no means bleaching, just brightening. This serum does wonders for any hyperpigmentation and scarring from past blemishes I may have, I've tried a lot of products that claim to do this, but I think this is the best without costing the earth.

It's a littler harder to get hold of but I recommend getting it here from this Ebayer, quick shipping.

If you've been wanting to get your mitts on the truly fabulous Cure Natural Aqua Gel (you can check out my full review here) but it's either unobtainable or too pricey, this is a fantastic alternative. It smells delicious for a start and works in a very similar fashion. I pop mine onto dry, clean skin, massage, and the acidic apple extract lifts the dead skin cells away. Wash off to reveal smooth, bright, glowing skin. Totally suitable for sensitive skins as it's exceedingly gentle.

I get mine here.

Lastly, sheet masks. I love anything brightening and texture-refining so these are a few of my favourites. I look for ingredients like citrus fruits, papaya, rice, tomato.

The Face Shop Real Nature Lemon Mask

It's Skin Collagen Eye Mask Sheet

Pure Smile Essence Mask

Innisfree It's Real Rice Mask

Beautymate Refining Smooth Masks (Not strictly Korean but I love them regardless)

What are your favourites??? Let me know!
