It's a bit of a bumper post today, so buckle up and bring snacks!

I've shopping to share, a quiet little spot for drinks, a new restaurant find, and of course for next week, my Father's Day Gift Guide.

I'll meet you after the jumpbreak :)

As if any of us need an excuse to treat our nearest and dearest, The Bentall Centre invited me out for a shopping trip, to get a little something for my wonderful father (who sadly wasn't able to make the event itself so F sprinkled a little flour into his hair and donned some long socks and a cashmere jumper to step into his place for the day - I'm just kidding ;)

As soon as I stepped into The Bentall Centre, Kingston, it brought back so many memories for me. Mum, dad and I used to frequent a similar shopping centre when I was much younger - the same white interior, lots of walkways and escalators - although the shops have changed quite a bit since then! Now you can find everything here from Oliver Bonas to Massimo Dutti, & Other Stories to West Elm, Vagabond shoes to Zara Home. Not far from Clapham Common, or New Malden if you fancy the best Korean food in the country, The Bentall Centre is the perfect destination to escape the crowds of central London.

On the hunt for Father's Day gifts, we perused the concourses, searching high and low.

Outfit details:

Yellow hairscarf (Primark, similar here), Broderie top (similar), Tapered linen trousers, Yellow sandals, Navy crossbody (similar)

Of course making a little time for a quick pitstop for myself..

A couple of hours later, and thanks to Bentalls, and TM Lewin, it was job done! My dad's known to check in on Barely There Beauty (mainly for the food recipes ;) so I won't share what we procured quite yet.. but F and I did pick up a few stocking stuffers like this, this and this - no peeking dads! And here's my Father's Day Gift Guide 2018, made up of some picks I found both during the shopping trip and online - I hope you find something you think dad will love!

Onwards, to drinks and dinner :)

We headed over to the Double Tree bar for a light refreshment - isn't the interior gorgeous? So simple and glowy, with giant windows that open out onto the street, perfect for a warm summer's day.

Malbec for F, Breakfast Martini for me - gin, orange marmalade vodka, and peach puree, delicious!

And then back to The Bentall Centre for a Middle Eastern feast.

Maison Du Mezze have all the lebanese classics, and maybe some new treats you haven't yet tried.

Classic houmous, labneh, al rahib (roasted aubergine salad/dip, and my favourite thing on the table) and warak inab (stuffed vine leaves).

Grilled halloumi and muhamarah, rich with nuts.

Mana'eesh, gooey with double cheese, and grilled lamb cutlets.

All washed down with prosecco and a basil, pineapple juice (or 'fruity pesto' as F called it). Bellies full, we couldn't eat another thing! Or really I should say 'belly full', because everyone knows you have a secondary stomach just for desserts right? ;)

The baklava was delicious, only enhanced with a little drizzle of syrup and some dessicated coconut. Now we couldn't eat another thing!

We went for a post-binge, riverside walk just in time to catch the sun dipping behind the trees and riverside apartments.

We'll see you again Kingston!

xx
