OOTD // SPRINGTIME CITY CHIC.

9 May 2018 11 comments

It's been absolutely beautiful in the Home Counties over the last few days, perfectly timed with the Bank Holiday weekend so that each and every one of us can enjoy a little summer-like sunshine with a chilled drink on hand.

Mine's anything gingery at the minute, I'm obsessed with it lately!

I've been making an attempt to clear out my wardrobe a little and found this navy, silk dress lurking in a crumpled pile somewhere near the bottom. With it's flouncy hem and little mother of pearl buttons, it's a classic beauty, and a quick steam later, it was ready to wear!

There's nothing quite like the feeling of silk against your skin.

I'm so into my silky satin pjs too *heart eyes*.

A classic tan trench has got to be the most quintessential of cover ups, and the perfect addition to this silky dress for the evening. You may know about my breton addiction (17 and counting), but you may not be aware that I'm a bit of a trench hoarder too! I think I have around 7? Of all sizes, lengths and shades of tan ;) I'm not averse to a little colour now though! Blush? Coral? Pastel blue?

It's been a while since I've worn a fully fledged heel.

I used to wear them every time the girls went out for the night during college but since university, and all that walking around campus, I've switched to flats all day every day, other than a little block heel like these new beauties from this post.

A barely there heel is always in style though, and these chunky heel ones are surprisingly comfortable to walk in.

And every city-chic look must be topped off with Celine. That's obligatory right? ;)

Just before we packed up the camera, I coerced F down to this apartment block that has a touch of Friends/SATC/New York/the 90's about it to find that it's front courtyard was strewn with cherry blossom.

Isn't Spring magical? It's like the trees and flowers put on a little exhibition for us. Magnolia, then cherry blossom, then wisteria, peonies, roses, I can't decide what's my favourite!

I hope you're all having a wonderful midweek :)
