Since dramatically whittling my collection, it takes even more than usual for skincare to impress me enough to 'make it onto the team'.

I've always had a soft spot for Caudalie, specifically their Beauty Elixir, which I make sure to stock up on when the glass bottle ltd editions come around, so was delighted to find a package of their newest range on my doorstep. The Vine Activ range c/o Caudalie, protects against external pollutants, fights the initial signs of aging and promotes glow and youth - the perfect selection of skincare fixers for someone in their twenties like myself. It's all surprisingly affordable in my eyes too, ranging from around £25-35, including the serum, which we all know can cost a small fortune. I've been using the range for almost a month, so read on for my thoughts.

The Energizing and Smoothing Eye Cream and 3-in-1 Moisturiser come in travel-friendly plastic tubes, with teeny nozzles for precise application. I struggle with eye creams in general, and frankly haven't found any I'm truly enamoured with. One too rich, like Kiehl's avocado eye cream, provides ample hydration but can cause teeny milia to appear under my eyes - hardly a bi-effect I'm likely to covet. The Caudalie offering is light in texture and gentle in formulation - I think it'll suitable for just about anyone. It sinks in readily to the skin, contains plenty of protective antioxidants and is designed to use around the lip contour too to alleviate fine lines and the initial signs of aging we tend to see there.

The three face products, I love the concept of. I really rate including a serum or cream that's high in antioxidants in my routine, to reduce the negative effects of pollution and fight free radicals - something of particular concern if you live in an urban area. With hyaluronic acid to plump, and polyphenols and vitamin C to protect against pollutants and aging, their 3-in-1 cream is a great basic moisturiser to layer into any routine. I've experienced no pilling with any of these products too, just to reaffirm the layering possibilities.

My favourite products of the range are the Detox Oil and Glow-Activating Anti-Wrinkle Serum. The latter is more of a milky essence - very light in texture but plumps up my skin nicely. The oil is lovely and light, akin to a dry oil in texture and dry-down, and is perfect for the warmer months that I don't want rich product sitting on my skin. A mix of grape, almond, rosehip and essential oils, there are plenty of polyphenols and vitamins to repair whilst you sleep. A personal trick I've discovered is to first apply the oil, and then follow with the light, milky serum, which almost causes the oil to emulsify, and for the combination to absorb even better into my skin, leaving it really lovely and plump.

Altogether, I'm really impressed with the range - I think if you purchase one item, let it be the oil, it's such a great price point too. I love the thought of drenching my skin in antioxidants, as I'm somewhat paranoid about my skin's exposure to pollutants and the like. I think whether you've dry or oilier skin, this range is workable for you - as layering items if you're dry, as stand-alones if you're oily.

Have you tried the Caudalie Vine Activ regime? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
