Estee Lauder Enlighten EE Cream Review

Although my feelings towards it's name are close to detest (how many more letters do we need?!), Estee Lauder's latest makeup-skincare hybrid is pretty amazing.

Their Even Effect cream promises to minimise the look of dark spots, areas of pigmentation, acne scarring, redness and pores, whilst adding radiance to the skin with a hint of colour and an SPF of 30. Essentially, everything I want in a product so how could I not pick this up?!

The packaging is super reflective, but importantly very practical, a screw-cap tube, great for travelling. It's contents? A creamy, pleasantly scented emulsion that's pretty reminiscent of a half-decent BB cream/tinted moisturiser.

It sheers out on the skin beautifully and, I'm happy to announce, does live up to it's claims. On application, I feel my skin is immediately brightened, even though there's very little coverage, the general tone is far more even and coherent, my redness is calmed and pores diminished. I have to say I am in love with the results.

There's a fair amount of literature saying that the finish is really shiny and wouldn't suit anything but a dry skin type, however, on my normal-combination skin, it leaves the most beautiful dewy glow but doesn't look in the slightest shiny or greasy.

The EE cream's most coveted attribute in my eyes is that it possesses that magically elusive ability to 'beautify' the skin whilst looking like you literally have nothing on. It's the ultimate no-makeup-makeup product.
